Just to catch up

I am still here in Korea and my family is home. Christmas has come and gone. Most important of all, Derek Jeremy Pace was born exactly one month ago at 6lbs 6 oz and 19 1/2 "! Being our biggest child he sure is a great addition to the family. I think that he brings Suzette a little bit of me while I am not there. I look forward to going home in a few months.

Life in Korea

Here I am. Sitting in a library in the country of The Republic Of Korea, or South Korea. I am missing my wife and children and I am missing some of the basics of life. I miss Church. I haven't been able to find a ward or branch here yet on my Camp. I miss having a car. I miss my friends. I miss being able to do things that I can't. I miss my language. I love being here and serving my country. But I do miss thse things and I am grateful that my wife and children will be here when the paperwork gets finished. I love you Suzette and hope that you are well! Love you Miranda, Emily and Nataboo! Keep smiling all!

For my College Composition II class one of the suggested topics to write about this week is my feeling about being an online student. Well, my feelings today about being a student at all are not the most positive.... I did very well in the previous two semesters and now, well lets just say I need a legion of angels and all the help of the universe that I can get! Getting anything done in school right now is a miracle. Heck, getting anything done right now feels like a miracle! I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed... Don't get me wrong, I am having some great happy moments and I'm not miserable, I just don't know how I can do all that has to be done... Never before in my life have I been so dependent upon the Lord! And that's saying a lot for me because I am always so reliant upon Him! It really is through His grace that I have/will accomplish anything while Jeremy is gone. Today it is pretty painful to think that I'm only two weeks into this with about 23 still to come... I appreciate all the prayers and well wishes people are sending our way; please keep them coming! And please pray for us that we will be able to fly Jeremy home for the two week brake he has for Christmas and for me to be able to attend his Basic Training graduation. I NEED those opportunities to be with him!!

Jer Called Me!

I didn't think I would be able to talk to Jeremy while he is in basic training. Fortunately, he has called me twice already. =) YAY! That makes me soooo happy! It's only been 5 days since I saw him last but I sure do miss him! There is so much going on right now and it's tough not having my best friend to help me through it all. Some of my challenges right now are going to school, taking care of my 3 girls, creating money out of thin air =), and trying to sell my house. I am blessed to have other great family and friends to help me though! For example, my mother-in-law came over today to help me do some deep cleaning on the house. She scrubbed my kitchen floor on her hands and knees- now that's love! Thanks Gina! The kitchen looks great! Now for the rest of the house.... Shortly after we got done cleaning, my realtor stopped by with a couple who wanted to look at the house. Here's to hoping they like it!!! Now I am hanging out at my Aunt and Uncles house. They fed us and they are keeping my kids entertained. I sure am blessed! So even if I can't be with my favorite person, I am surrounded by great people!

Suzy Takes Over!

I am now taking over the blog! =) Jeremy leaves for the Army today and it just so happens that I have to have a blog for my College Composition II class. This means I will be updating the blog weekly. I know, I know, it's about time isn't it?! I can just hear Gina (Jeremy's mom) shouting for joy now! ;)

Well, were off now to go check Jeremy into the hotel. We plan to go swimming for a bit to have one last fun family activity.
Oh and some exciting news, we had family pictures taken today! They turned out great but we will not get them back until the 28th. I'm so excited to be able to share them with you all soon!

Ouch!

So here's Emily's stitches. Gross, yeah, but what do you expect with my blog? On Friday, while I was gone to an Army exercise, Emily went and asked Suzette for an apple. Suzy said she could have a half of one, in a minute. So Em took matters in her own hands, grabbed the longest knife that we have, and cut the apple....and her finger. Our friends out in Eagle Mountain, the Youngs, took Suzy and the rest of the family to the doctors office to get stitched up. Suzy also thought that I had taken her wallet, which was at home, but Donna, our friend paid for us so we could get a discount on the procedure. Wow. It's times like these that you really come to appreciate your friends. On a side note, the doctor was awesome and explained everything to Emily. When he gave her the shot he told her that her finger would go to sleep and then later asked if it was snoring. Cool huh?
