Christmas has come and gone. Most important of all, Derek Jeremy Pace was born exactly one month ago at 6lbs 6 oz and 19 1/2 "! Being our biggest child he sure is a great addition to the family. I think that he brings Suzette a little bit of me while I am not there. I look forward to going home in a few months.Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-27084558665098921522010-07-24T23:30:00.002-06:002010-07-24T23:35:50.331-06:00Life in KoreaHere I am. Sitting in a library in the country of The Republic Of Korea, or South Korea. I am missing my wife and children and I am missing some of the basics of life. I miss Church. I haven't been able to find a ward or branch here yet on my Camp. I miss having a car. I miss my friends. I miss being able to do things that I can't. I miss my language. I love being here and serving my country. But I do miss thse things and I am grateful that my wife and children will be here when the paperwork gets finished. I love you Suzette and hope that you are well! Love you Miranda, Emily and Nataboo! Keep smiling all!Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-11811117967192652142009-11-02T21:26:00.002-07:002009-11-02T21:45:24.650-07:00For my College Composition II class one of the suggested topics to write about this week is my feeling about being an online student. Well, my feelings today about being a student at all are not the most positive.... I did very well in the previous two semesters and now, well lets just say I need a legion of angels and all the help of the universe that I can get! Getting anything done in school right now is a miracle. Heck, getting anything done right now feels like a miracle! I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed... Don't get me wrong, I am having some great happy moments and I'm not miserable, I just don't know how I can do all that has to be done... Never before in my life have I been so dependent upon the Lord! And that's saying a lot for me because I am always so reliant upon Him! It really is through His grace that I have/will accomplish anything while Jeremy is gone. Today it is pretty painful to think that I'm only two weeks into this with about 23 still to come... I appreciate all the prayers and well wishes people are sending our way; please keep them coming! And please pray for us that we will be able to fly Jeremy home for the two week brake he has for Christmas and for me to be able to attend his Basic Training graduation. I NEED those opportunities to be with him!!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-84254220677717980222009-10-26T23:43:00.004-06:002009-10-26T23:57:39.278-06:00

Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-20023269123884765452009-10-24T20:33:00.003-06:002009-10-24T20:47:01.541-06:00Jer Called Me!I didn't think I would be able to talk to Jeremy while he is in basic training. Fortunately, he has called me twice already. =) YAY! That makes me soooo happy! It's only been 5 days since I saw him last but I sure do miss him! There is so much going on right now and it's tough not having my best friend to help me through it all. Some of my challenges right now are going to school, taking care of my 3 girls, creating money out of thin air =), and trying to sell my house. I am blessed to have other great family and friends to help me though! For example, my mother-in-law came over today to help me do some deep cleaning on the house. She scrubbed my kitchen floor on her hands and knees- now that's love! Thanks Gina! The kitchen looks great! Now for the rest of the house.... Shortly after we got done cleaning, my realtor stopped by with a couple who wanted to look at the house. Here's to hoping they like it!!! Now I am hanging out at my Aunt and Uncles house. They fed us and they are keeping my kids entertained. I sure am blessed! So even if I can't be with my favorite person, I am surrounded by great people!
Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-74733084373604217172009-10-19T15:23:00.004-06:002009-10-19T15:32:13.535-06:00Suzy Takes Over!I am now taking over the blog! =) Jeremy leaves for the Army today and it just so happens that I have to have a blog for my College Composition II class. Gross, yeah, but what do you expect with my blog? On Friday, while I was gone to an Army exercise, Emily went and asked Suzette for an apple. Suzy said she could have a half of one, in a minute. So Em took matters in her own hands, grabbed the longest knife that we have, and cut the apple....and her finger. Our friends out in Eagle Mountain, the Youngs, took Suzy and the rest of the family to the doctors office to get stitched up. Suzy also thought that I had taken her wallet, which was at home, but Donna, our friend paid for us so we could get a discount on the procedure. Wow. It's times like these that you really come to appreciate your friends. On a side note, the doctor was awesome and explained everything to Emily. When he gave her the shot he told her that her finger would go to sleep and then later asked if it was snoring. Cool huh?Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-76418050742458007342009-08-04T03:20:00.002-06:002009-08-04T03:39:00.859-06:00Time flies...So the other day, Miranda had a terrible fit. She completely melted down into a screaming unconsolable child. She gets that from her dad. I had gotten a little extra from my blood account so I told Suzette that I thought that we needed to spend some extra time with her that night. Miranda had been rewarded, during school, with a free dinner from her favorite dining spot, Applebee's, so that was the decided venue. Suzy decided and made a point that someone had to watch the other two, so that should be me to avoid unnecessary expenses and for me to get to know them some more.:) So they went to the restaurant and my little six year old princess refused, even at the insistance of the waiter, to use the crayons. She said, "I'm not interested in that." Wow. I have, several times, forbad her to grow up. She just laughs and says, "Daddy, I have to grow up!" Yeah, she does.Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-44975414405168029032009-05-30T03:06:00.002-06:002009-05-30T03:10:09.986-06:00I'm In!I'm finally in the Army! Sort of. I have finally enlisted and I am ready to go and serve my country and fellow man to the best of my abilities...on October 20th. Yeah, kind of a long wait, but at least all of the waivers are done. And that speaks volumes. I will be posted at Fort Jackson, South Carolina for the first 10 weeks of Basic, then off to Fort Sam Houston for my medic training. From there, who knows. May the Lord Bless all who serve!Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-32848484161889475722008-12-08T02:27:00.002-07:002008-12-08T02:34:13.478-07:00I think that I have mentioned it before but.....I LOVE MY WIFE!!!!! Who else can look great in church, share the most spiritual side of themselves, actually send their husband to bed, go to choir, eat dinner, sing in the Messiah, put their kids to bed, spend quality time with her husband, and still look past all of his faults and love him? I LOVE YOU SOOOOO MUCH SUZETTE! Thank you for always being there for me.:-)Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-63970972795261715512008-12-07T01:37:00.001-07:002008-12-07T01:42:43.105-07:00Wow.There are several things that I will always be wowed by in my life. First of all, I will always be amazed by the love that our Heavenly Father has for us and for all that He has given us. Second, I will never get used to how much my wife loves me, even with all of my many faults. I will always be amazed at my children and how much they change day by day and what they do day by day. Right now at 1:45 in the morning, I am amazed at how tired I can be when You'd think that I would be used to doing this schedule.... oh wellJeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-2642510139803356402008-07-24T19:31:00.007-06:002008-12-10T08:33:34.795-07:00Suzy's first blogging attempt

Miranda got her ears pierced!

We told Miranda that she could get her ears pierced before she goes to school so she and I went to the mall today and had a little date. I like guy things, cars, trucks, bugs and slimy things. Here in Tennessee are some things that they don't have in Utah. I will show them to you.

This is called a pancake turtle by the locals. It's actually called a spiny softshell turtle. The males are only 7-9 inches big. The females, however, are 19-24 inches big and they are fast!!!

These little buggers are called lightening bugs. Yes, they do light up and they are not very fast. Locals claim that if you catch one and squish it, the juice from inside will glow for up to a half an hour. Haven't tried it yet. Don't really want to. They are also Pennsylvania's state insect.
This is a male Cardinal. Even though email seems to be prevailing as the common way to have long conversations and even receive bills, there still is a thing out there that we receive junkmail and the occasional birthday or thoughtful card in, called a mailbox. We have been quite busy with work and the girls and it seems the smaller the living quarters, the less time that you have, maybe because you realize every little thing that is wrong and attack it immediately. I am definitely finding out the highs and lows of salesmanship and realizing that even on a bad day, it's really not that bad. I am able to get out everyday and finding that I am losing the weight (I am down 6 lbs in two weeks) that I had gained after the stint behind the desk. I am also finding out that when you are a door-to-door "upgrade manager", or salesman as other people call us, that Dr. Scholl's is my new best friend. A can of mace will probably be my next purchase as I have been chased by one rottweiler and a collie jumped at the storm door at my chest area. Good thing my wrist was in the way and caught the door to shut it. Fun stuff. We do love being here though and are getting used to the area. Today was Stake Conference at the Embassy Suite ball room since the stake is too big to actually fit in the stake center. The girls really love having their friends close by, althought today the both said that they really missed their Grandmas and Grandpas and all of their aunts and uncles. So expect a phone call soon. We love you all very much and we are sure happy to be here together, especially as tomorrow will be our eighth year anniversary at 10:22 am. We have been blessed with three beautiful daughters and I have the greatest wife ever. She truly is my companion, my lover and my best friend. To those of you who check these everyday, I will try to write more often, but no promises. Keep smiling all, We love you all!!!Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-37645140035715671172008-04-23T13:29:00.002-06:002008-04-23T13:38:41.971-06:00The time has come..."The time has come," the Walrus said,
"To talk of many things:
Of shoes--and ships--and sealing-wax--
Of cabbages--and kings--
And why the sea is boiling hot--
And whether pigs have wings."

And while we will not be heading so far away as through the looking glass, we will be leaving for Tennessee on Monday. We are really excited and completely feel that this is something the Lord is asking us to do. Something akin to Father Lehi and Sariah and their family leaving for the promised land. we love all of our friends and family, and we hope at some time you will be able to visit us out there!
Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-13608047077148397442008-04-10T08:06:00.002-06:002008-12-10T08:33:36.799-07:00My Sweetheart of sweethearts
I missed yesterday, because, I was actually working, real busy actually. So here is a blog about my wife. She is the greatest wife there is out there. That should be enough to say, but I will give you a real description. She cares about me wholeheartedly and puts up with my mistakes, impatience, temper, and she always puts up with my childish behavior and crummy music choices. She has always puts her desires for leisure behind mine and every now and then actually enjoys what ever it is I have decided to watch. We are not unique from other couples in the world in that we do have our trials and our differences, like other couples out there, but through true love, through charity for one another we make it work. I love her very much and I am glad that we will be together for ever. Love you very much Suzette.Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-92102551808298859152008-04-02T10:47:00.002-06:002008-12-10T08:33:36.913-07:00Little Natalie
Here she is, little Miss Energy/Cuteness. She sure has been driving us wild by getting things out, rearranging things and the like. Her favorite places to make a mess are the dishwasher (if we don't lock it, she opens it and sits on the door playing with dirty dishes, if we lock it, she turns it on), and the girls' underwear and sock drawer. She's too fast for her old man. On Sunday at church, I turned around for literally two seconds, she was out the door and headed to primary where mommy was and daddy looking all over the gym for her. She sure is cute, but wears us out.Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-30383642443395201972008-03-26T07:41:00.003-06:002008-12-10T08:33:37.149-07:00Poor Little Emily
My little dear sweet Emily. She has another ear infection, possibly in both ears according to the good doctor, but seems to be handling it well. She sure hasn't let it slow her down at all though, as she just loves to sing and sing and sing. She really enjoys singing the songs from Enchanted, and Annie. We can't get her to hold still to eat her dinner, put the second Annie comes on, she's in singing heaven. Wow. It was a lot of fun but, certainly a reminder of how fast time flies. For those of you who happen to not remember what happened that year, here's a couple of reminders. A week before Miranda was born, Elizabeth Smart was found in Sandy, and the Iraqi war started the day she was born. We have seen a lot of changes in the past five years and it is only the tip of the iceberg. I am so glad that I have the constancy of a great family and a God that cares about me as his son. I am so glad that I have been blessed with my little princesses and although they test out my patience and my experience as a parent, they are truly my little wonders and miracles.Jeremyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13986660826629013707noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-718358717363764139.post-39514231641293290042008-03-13T15:07:00.001-06:002008-03-13T15:08:33.387-06:00First BlogHere we go a blogging we will go, a blogging we will go ....
